1. Call to Order and Roll Call
(Present: Joe Boyle, Paul,Montain,Jeff Reinert, George Lindy and
Pat Huelman. Absent: Pam Taschuk and Chris Welsand.)
2. Approval of Minutes from May 3, 1999
(Jeff Reinert made a motion to approve the May 3, 1999 minutes as written.
Seconded by Paul Montain. Minutes were approved as written.)
3. Setting Agenda
n (No additions or deletions to the agenda.)
4. Open Mike
(Rick read a letter he received from Byron and Wendy Roland regarding
LaMotte Park improvements. The Park Board decided to put this item on the
agenda for the July 1999 meeting.)
5. Discussion of Behm's Century Farm Park
(After a presentation from Gary Uhde and comments from residents Paul
Montain made a motion to approve the current concept plan with
consideration of a park in the next addition. Jeff Reinert seconded the
motion and it was approved unanimously.)
6. Discussion of 1999 Trail Construction Projects
(Rick reviewed this issue. After discussion it was decided that it will be placed on
the July 1999 Park Board agenda.)
7. 1998 Excess Revenue
(Rick reviewed the memo in the members packets.)
8. Recreation Department Update
(Members reviewed update. Rick gave members registration numbers for
some of the youth programs. Kite day was a success with approximately
275 kids receiving free kits. Thanks to the Lino Lakes Lions and Mountain
Enterprises for their donations to help fund this event.)
9. Parks Department Update
(Rick reviewed memo.)
A. Wenzel Farms Tree Clearing(City Council designated $5,000 for the tree
clearing. The city has received a bid from Charlie's Tree Service for
$5,325.00. After trees are cleared the city will proceed with installation of
bridge.)
B. Arena Acres Playground Installation (Rick reminded members that the Arena
Acres playground will be raised June 19th. He encouraged Park Board
members to attend the raising.)
10. Old Business
A. 1999 Park Liaisons (New list was included in the packets for members books.)
11. New Business
(No new business.)
12. Next Park Board Meeting
(Tuesday,July 6, 1999 (New City Hall.)
13. Adjourn
(Paul Montain made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Joe Boyle. Meeting
was adjourned at 7:40pm.)
