Behm's Century Farm master planning.)

1. Call to Order and Roll Call 6:30pm
(Pat Huelman was absent.)
2. Approval of Minutes from November 2, 1998 6:35pm
(Pam Taschuk made a motion to approve the November 2, 1998,
minutes. Motion was seconded by Sharon Lane and the minutes
were approved as written.)
3. Setting Agenda 6:40pm
(No changes to the agenda.)
4. Open Mike 6:45pm
(No one was present for open mike.)
5. Marshan Park and Behm's Century Farm Park Master Planning - 6:50pm
Discuss Objectives and Schedule Meetings with Residents
(Rick said letters were mailed 12/7/98 to the residents and developers
giving them information on the neighborhood meetings. He said he
asked residents to bring their ideas and comments to the meetings.
The schedule is to meet with residents on 1/5/99 and 2/4/99 and then
take the master plan and preliminary cost estimate to City Council on
2/22/99.)
6. Review and Adopt 1999 Park Board Meeting Schedule 7:05pm
(Paul Montain made a motion to meet the first Monday of each
month except July and September. The Board will meet on Tuesday,
July 6 and Tuesday, September 7. Motion was seconded by Sharon
�-� Lane and passed unanimously.)
7. Recreation Department Update 7:15pm
(Rick reviewed memo and discussed the Turkey Shoot and Holiday
Lighting Contest.)
8. Parks Department Update 7:25pm
(Rick discussed the memo in the packets. He told members that the
playground at Rice Lake Estates Park has been raised. Final work
will take place the week of 12/7/98. There was discussion on the
fence and signage on Shenandoah trail.)
A. 1998 Parks Acconiplislnnents/Improvements
(Rick said that 4 new playgrounds had been raised and 9
trail segments had been completed in 1998. Most of the work was done by
City staff except for fence installation which was contracted. George
Lindy commended the department for all the work that had been
done with a limited amount of funds.)

(Rick reminded George, Joe and Paul to contact Dan Tesch with
their intentions.)
B. Review Park Board Position Description
(Rick asked Members to review the Position Description for Park
Board Members and to call him if they had any questions or
comments.)

(George made a motion to adjourn seconded by Jeff Reinert.
