1. Call to Order and Roll Call
2. Approval of Minutes from August 3, 1998
(Sharon Lane made a motion to approve the August 3, 1998 minutes,
seconded by Pam Taschuk. Approved as written.)
3. Setting Agenda
(Mayor Kim Sullivan introduced Webelo Pack 103 who were present to
earn their Good Citizens Badge. No other changes were made to the
agenda.)
4. Open Mike
(No one was present for open mike.)
5. West Shadow Lake Extension—Rick Carlson
(Ted Mattke was present to talk about this project. No action was
required.)
6. Request for Fencing Along New Trail Segment on Arrowhead Drive
(Paul Montain made a motion that Rick DeGardner, Mr. Simons, and
staff would work together to take care of the fencing problem to
property owners satisfaction. Seconded by Joe Schmidt and approved.)
7. Environmental Inventory and Management Plan Focus Group
(Rick asked members to attend the October 29th and 301h Environment
Planning Project meetings.)
8. Recreation Department Update
(Rick read memo and answered questions about some of the programs.)
9. Parks Department Update(Rick read memo.)
A. 1998-99 Skating Rink Locations and Hours (Rick read memo.
Board agreed to rink locations. Thought Rice Lake Elem. School
was a better location than Country Lakes Park.)
B. Park Improvements Update (Rick read memo and had slide show
to show members how nice the parks are looking.)
