1 . Call to Order and Roll Call 6 :30pm
(All Park Board members were present except
Pam Taschuk and Kim Sullivan. Rick DeGardner
Barry Bernstein, and Sandie Wood were also
present. )
2 . Approval of Minutes from November 3 , 1997 6 : 35pm
(Minutes were approved. )
3 . Open Mike 6 :40pm
(No one present. )
4 . Referendum 6 :45pm
(George has been reviewing minutes from 1993
and it may be time to proceed. This will be
discussed in the future. )
5 . Trails Update - Map 7 : 15pm
(Rick told members what it cost to pave trails
in 1997 . He also said he is in the process of
developing a map/park guide. )
6 . Friends of the Park Update 7 : 25pm
(Barry explained there was no action taken at
the last meeting. They are starting work on
the golf tournament. There will not be a
December meeting. )
7 . Recreation Update 7 :35pm
(Barry gave overview of what programs staff
is working on and what will be starting in
January. Paul asked about the Holiday
Lighting Contest. )
8 . Parks Update - verbal 7 :45pm
(Rick talked about skating rinks and said he
would like to go ahead with master planning
Quail Ridge Park. There was discussion on
Country Lakes Park. )

9 . Term Expirations 7 : 55pm

(Both members have sent in letters of intent
to Dan Tesch. )
10 . Term Vacancy 8 : OOpm
a. Kim Sullivan
(Kim will have to send in letter of
resignation. )
11 . Old Business 8 : 05pm
(There was discussion on updating members
park liaison lists after appointments are
done. George said Country Lakes Parks was
master planned in 1994 . Rick thanked
members for the information he received from
them at the last meeting. Staff was asked
to research park dedication ordinance
from surrounding communities)
12 . New Business 8 : 15pm
a. 1998 Park Board Meeting Schedule
(All meetings will be the first Monday of
each month except for September. It was
suggested the September meeting be held on
Monday, August 31, 1998. Staff will check
to see if the 4th of July holiday will be
taken off on Friday, July 3 or Monday, July
6 . There was discussion about a teen center
in Lino Lakes. )
Clearwater Creek Business Center - Added to
Agenda - (The developer submitted a preliminary
plat for this project. No action required
by the Park Board. )
13 . Schedule Next Park Board Meeting 8 :25pm
(Next meeting will be January 5, 1998)
14 . Adjourn 8 :30pm
(Meeting adjourned at 7 :20pm. )
