1 . Call to Order and Roll Call 6 :30pm
(All Park Board members were present.
Rick DeGardner, Barry Bernstein, Mary
Fogarty, and Sandie Wood were also present)
2 . Introduction of Rick DeGardner, Director 6 :35pm
(George introduced Rick)
3 . Approval of Minutes from 10/6/97 6 :45pm
(Minutes were approved as written)
4 . Open Mike 6 :50pm
(No one present for open mike)
5 . Trails 6 : 55pm
(Rick told the board that all 1997 trails
have been paved with the exception of the
trail we have received a grant for. This
trail runs along Lake Drive to the City
Center.
6 . Old Business 7 : 05pm
(There was no old business)
7 . New Business 7 :35pm
(There was open discussion to bring Rick
up to date on what the board is working on
and what they would like to do in the
future. This was an opportunity for the
members to give Rick background on them-
selves and for Rick to explain what he
has done since starting with the city and
what direction he would like to see the
department go)
8 . Reminder - Future Meetings 8 : 05pm

(Referendum meeting has been set for 11/19,
6pm, at the Fire Station. Goal setting
meeting will be held at the Parks and
Recreation Building on 11/25)
9 . Schedule Next Park Board Meeting 8 : 10pm
(The next meeting is scheduled for 12/3,
6 :30pm, City Hall)
10 . Adjourn 8 : 15pm
