RESOLUTION NO.21-133
ACCEPTING BASE BID AND AWARDING A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT
CRJ/CSAH 49 (HODGSON ROAD)TRUNK UTILITY IMPROVEMENTS
WHEREAS,pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the construction of the CRJ/CSAH 49
(Hodgson Road) Trunk Utility Improvements Project, bids were received, opened and tabulated
according to law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement; and

Northdale Construction Company, Inc. $1,233,340.71
Geislin er& Sons $1,285,500.00
Park Construction Company $1,325,359.70
Forest Lake Contracting, Inc. $1,349,255.46
Meyer Contracting, Inc. $1,383,959.90
Veit& Company, Inc. $1,483,712.00
WHEREAS, it appears that Northdale Construction Company, Inc. is the lowest responsible
bidder;and
WHEREAS,the City Council finds that it would be in the best interest of the city to proceed with
Base Bid,
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes:
1. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with
Northdale Construction Company, Inc.,in the amount of$1,233,340.71 by the name of the
City of Lino Lakes for the Base Bid construction of the CRJ/CSAH 49 (Hodgson Road)
Trunk Utility Improvements Project according to the plans and specifications approved by
the City Council and on file in the office of the City Clerk.
2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidder the Bid
Bonds made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next
two lowest bidders shall be retained until a contract has been signed.
Adopted by the Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 8t'day of November,2021.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was introduced by Councilmember
Stoesz and was duly seconded by Councilmember Lyden and upon vote being taken
thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Cavegn, Stoesz, Lyden, Rafferty
The following voted against same: None (Absent- Ruhland) +
