The Jan. 17, 1968 meeting of the Lino Lakes Planning and Zoning Comm.
was clled to order by Chairman Glenn Rehbein. Minutes of previous meeting were
read and approved. Members present: Rehbein , Kelling, Jester, Cardinal, Stanley
Bryant, Co ::, Klepel. Mayor L'Aliier, former member Han: Hec'_ ::erlaibie were along
others present in the audience.

Planning Board agreed to continue having the third ';ed. as ita: meeting
date for the next year
Mr. Kluglman of the Northwest Saddle Club a._;peared to see if the Planning
Com•.nission would be favorable of their relocating within our villa;;e. The tract
of land considered is on 40 acres of the Dorning property. Tentative plans showed
a clubhouse, an arena and trac'': It was brought out that the present operation of
the Northwest Saddle Club was conducted in the best ma ne:'. MentionItion w'. made of
the proposed roads on boundary lines of the property. Mr. K1u lma.n said he would be
ag°reeable to leaving at least 60 ft on their side of the property for roads. After
TfurtherGUeS'7.OI'IS and consideration a motion was made by Jester, SE3C0ideQ. by .^.1 in`;
that we recommend the council approve the operation and grant whatever permits are
necessary providin t_i: t the Northwest Saddle Club a.trees to allow 60 ft on all 4
sides of t ar property for future roads.
Mr. Harold Lehman appeared to ask procedure to follow for lot 20 of his
property on T ighway 49. The original lot 100 by 1102 ft had been divided sometime back
This division hadn't been recorded. He now desired to sell all of lot 19 and westerly
part of lot 20 to the trailer park. The lot to be searated is described as the
easterly 230 ft of lot 20 bloc.. 1 Arthur E. Thoan acres. Motion by Stanley seconded
by Jester that we recommend that the council grant a variance for the subdiviion_ of lot

A letter was received from E.W. and Leo Harris regrding^ the pronosed
development of southwest corner of intersection of Main St. and 35 E. The letter
requested to °_.t we at this time rezone the property to commercial. Problem of no
seers was brought up and a discussion on trailer courts and what would come first
in the deveopment. Glen Rehbcin made a motion seconded by Stanley that we recommend
that the council consult them and see what they would build first and teen proceed
with the rezoning. Carried.
Cardinal read thelist of items which Mayor L'Allier outlined as important
work for t::e P and Z Board.
1. Revision of Ord. 30 to safeguard gainst moving of unsightly- J ldgs into
the village.
2. Revision of bldg. Ord. 21, Section 4, to insure that any contractor buildig
a housing project within the village must allocate a given per centag „e
of the land for pall: purposes or t <e equivalent in money for same.
3. Completion of the Proposed Thoroughfare Map.
4. Complete review of all planning and zoning ordinance regulations.
5. Complete review of all existing zoning in the Village in conjunction
with the rezoning of industrial areas along the new freeways and on
industrial -nark.
6. Preparation of a comprehensive zonin', map showing existing zoning.
7. Tracings made of both the thoroughfare and zoning maps so they may be
duplicated for pros-ective contractors and businessmen.
8. Having the F Z Board, working in conjunction with the atty and
Engineer, outline on three plat maps the Village streets, dedic:=.ted
roadways and ca_rtwsys.
Mr. Stanley suggested that we meet one extra tiEe a month solely for the purpose
of wor__inl items like thee. The Planning 'hoard a7reed to -meet the 4th Wed of each
month for a work night on villa 'e planning.

Mayor L'Allier brought up about :Metro plannin,_• and said we should avail
ourselves to the 5 years o2 work on District y;'2. It was brousht out t'' .at we
had previously recuested a report and that we will main try to arran e it.

as an example of wht we donrt want.
