Review Regular Agenda- 16 17 Item IE, Bill's Superette, Special Event Permit(Food Truck)—Mayor Rafferty confirmed 18 that a special event permit is appropriate to allow a food truck; and confirmed that the 19 length of the permit is up to six months. 20 21 Item 1 C, City Council Minutes of April 25, 2022—Correction noted to Item 6A, 22 correcting reference to West Shadow Lake Drive to East Shadow Lake Drive. 23 24 Item 3A, Appointment of Building Inspector—Human Resources and Communications 25 Manager Sawyer noted that she will be presenting a recommendation to hire. 26 27 Item 4A, Catalytic Converter Ordinance—Public Safety Director Swenson noted that 28 theft of these units has become an issue due to increased frequency. A proposed 29 ordinance to help address the problem has been researched and staff is recommending 30 language be added to the City Code. First reading is requested. 31 32 Item 413, Seized Property—Councilmember Cavegn asked why the City would retain 33 certain drug items. Director Swenson noted that they are used for training, including for 34 the City's canine. Councilmember Cavegn noted some items of significant value and 35 how those are legally retained. Director Swenson suggested that the property owner(s) in 36 that case was informed but did not claim the items. 37 38 Item 4C, Bicycles—Public Safety Director Swenson noted the process that brings forward 39 a list of unclaimed bicycles. With council approval the bicycles will be donated to an 40 organization that will distribute them to kids in need. 41 42 Item 5A, Water Tower Construction Services Contract—City Engineer Hankee explained 43 the request to authorize a construction services contract related to the project. Mayor 1 CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION APPROVED 44 Rafferty noted that the recommendation is for the services of both WSB &Associates as 45 well as KLM Engineering and Ms. Hankee explained that WSB would provide the 46 administration and KLM would assist with field work. 47 48 Item 613,No Mow May—Mayor Rafferty suggested that he'd prefer to have more 49 discussion and to consider this matter for next year.
