RESOLUTION NO. 22-93
LOCAL APPROVAL OF A LAWFUL GAMBLING
PREMISES PERMIT FOR MC'S TAPHOUSE RESTAURANT
WHEREAS,the Lino Lakes City Council has received a request from Centennial High School
Hockey Association to conduct Charitable Gambling at Muddy Cow Lino Lakes, LLC d/b/a
MC's Taphouse; and
WHEREAS,the Minnesota Gambling Control Board requires the City of Lino Lakes to submit
a resolution to the City Council approving the premises permit application; and
WHEREAS,the Public Safety Department has conducted a background investigation and found
no reason to deny; and
WHEREAS,the Centennial High School Hockey Association is in compliance with Chapter
611 of the Lino Lakes City Code relating to Lawful Gambling;
NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes
hereby approves the request of the Centennial High School Hockey Association for a Premise
Permit for Charitable Gambling at Muddy Cow Lino Lakes,LLC d/b/a MC's Taphouse.
Adopted by the Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 22nd day of August, 2022.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was introduced by Councilmember
Ruhland and was duly seconded by Council Member Lyden and upon vote being taken thereon,
the following voted in favor thereof:

INTRODUCTION
An application for a premises permit has been submitted by the Centennial High School Hockey
Association by Jim Schoolmeesters the Gambling Manager. The application request permission
for Centennial High School Hockey Association to conduct charitable gambling at the Muddy
Cow Lino Lakes, LLC d/b/a MC's Taphouse located at 617 Apollo Drive, Suite 110, Lino Lakes.
BACKGROUND
The application is complete. The Lino Lakes Public Safety Department has conducted a
background investigation relative to this application and found no information on the applicant
that would give a specific reason to deny the application.
Minnesota Lawful Gambling law requires that the local unit of government approve applications
for premises permit before they are submitted to the Gambling Control Board for final
consideration. Therefore, the City Council is being asked to consider approval of a resolution
approving the application submitted by the Centennial High School Hockey Association.
RECOMMENDATION
Approve Resolution No. 22-93, approving a premise permit application from the Centennial
High School Hockey Association to conduct charitable gambling at MC's Taphouse located at
617 Apollo Drive, Suite 110, Lino Lakes.
