ADVISORY COMMITTEE
MINUTES
1. CALL TO ORDER
Michael Grochala, Community Development Director, called the Economic Development
Advisory Committee meeting to order at 8:02 A.M. on January 5, 2023.
2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Mr. Cravero made a motion to approve the December 1, 2023 meeting minutes. Motion
was supported by Mr. Vojtech, passing unanimously.
3. DISCUSSION ITEMS
A. Small Business Financial Assistance & Housing Maintenance Assistance Programs
Mr. Grochala, Community Development Director, presented the staff report.
The committee discussed the potential Small Business Financial Assistance & Housing
Maintenance Assistance Program opportunities in greater detail.
The EDAC supported the establishment of a housing assistance program in some form
with funding currently available. The board recommended the program be limited to
owner occupied housing. Mr. Grochala stated staff would bring back additional
information on program options.
The committee discussed different options for business assistance focusing on funding
for improvements necessitated by code changes. Staff was directed to further explore
options and potential funding sources.
