RESOLUTION NO. 23-43
APPROVING PURCHASE AGREEMENT FOR WATER TREATMENT PLANT LAND
ACQUISITION
WHEREAS, the City Council authorized preparation of plans and specifications for the
construction of a Water Treatment Plant on August 22, 2022, and
WHEREAS,the preferred location for the plant is located at the intersection of Birch Street and
12th Avenue (6510 12th Avenue); and
WHEREAS, the City Council authorized staff to make offers on the acquisition 6.28 acres of
land for the Water Treatment Plant on March 6, 2023, and
WHEREAS,the parties hereto have reached agreement on just compensation due for the
acquisition;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes:
That the purchase of property, located at 6510 12th Avenue, in the amount of$351,700 is hereby
approved and the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized to execute the purchase agreement on
behalf of the City.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED,that the City Attorney is hereby authorized to make any non-
substantive changes to the agreement, other than purchase price,prior to execution by the Mayor
and Clerk.
