HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 23-081 CITY OF LINO LAKES RESOLUTION NO. 23-81 AUTHORIZING A SPECIAL EVENT PERMIT FOR THE QUAD AREA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE ON AUGUST 17,2023 WHERAS,the Quad Area Chamber of Commerce has applied for a Special Event Permit for the Centennial Food Truck& Car Show at the Centennial Middle School; and, WHERAS, the event plan includes food trucks, singing competitions, vendors, and a car show; and, WHERAS, the Public Safety Department has reviewed plans for the event and approves the application as submitted with conditions related to food trucks as follows: - Food trucks must maintain a clearance of 10 feet from buildings, combustible materials, and other food trucks. - The fire department must have vehicular access, fire lanes, and access roads clear of obstructions to food trucks. - Class K fire extinguishers must be present for cooking fires in each food truck. - Minimum of one 2A10BC extinguisher present in each food truck for ordinary food fires. - Engine Driven Power Sources must be clear of any air intake by 12 feet on the food truck. - Engine Driven Power Sources must be 12 feet from any egress. - Each food truck must be registered with Anoka County. WHEREAS, proof of general liability insurance has been submitted by the Quad Area Chamber of Commerce to cover all events held on the Centennial School District property; and, WHEREAS, city staff has reviewed the Special Event Permit application and plans for the event for compliance with city ordinance and regulations. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes, Minnesota: That the City Council authorizes issuance of a Special Event Permit to the Quad Area Chamber of Commerce for the event scheduled on August 17, 2023.
