RESOLUTION NO. 23-120
RESOLUTION AMENDING THE COMPENSATION PLAN FOR THE PART-TIME FIREFIGHTER
POSITION
WHEREAS, the City of Lino Lakes has integrated fire services into the Public Safety
Department; and,
WHEREAS, the wages and compensation of part-time fire personnel are a vital
component of an effective recruitment and retention program; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Lino Lakes values a professional and engaged workforce; and,
WHEREAS, an in-depth analysis of the position's requirements was performed and the
position was benchmarked against similarly situated positions within the City to ensure internal
equity; and,
WHEREAS, based on the results of the position re-evaluation the Keystone Job Leveling
System places the position of PT Firefighter at a Job Grade of 130 within the Lino Lakes
Compensation Plan.
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes that the
Lino Lakes Compensation plan is amended to place the position of PT Firefighter at a Job Grade
of 130 effective November 19, 2023.
