RESOLUTION NO. 23-136
APPROVING A SPECIAL EVENT PERMIT,A TEMPORARY LIQUOR LICENSE,AND AN
EXEMPT GAMBLING PERMIT TO CONDUCT A RAFFLE FOR THE CENTERVILLE LIONS CLUB
WHERAS, the Centerville Lions Club has applied for a Special Event Permit, a Temporary
On-Sale Liquor License, and an Exempt Gambling Permit for the club's annual fishing contest on
Centerville Lake; and,
WHERAS, the event plan includes ice fishing, service of food and beverages, and a raffle
on Saturday, February 17, 2024; and,
WHEREAS, proof of general liability insurance and liquor liability insurance has been
submitted by the Centerville Lions Club cover the ice fishing contest on February 17, 2024; and,
WHEREAS, club has obtained the property permits from Anoka County, including the
water use permit, and the temporary food establishment license; and,
WHEREAS, city staff, including the Public Safety Department, has reviewed the
permit applications and plan for the event for compliance with city ordinance and
regulations.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes,
Minnesota:
That the City Council authorizes issuance of a Special Event Permit and approval of a Temporary
Liquor License and Exempt Gamling Permit for the Centerville Lions Club for the 2024 annual
ice fishing contest on Centerville Lake on February 24, 2024
Adopted by the Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 11th day of December, 2023.
