HomeMy WebLinkAbout11-27-2023 City Council Work Session Minutes LINO LAKES CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION MINUTES DATE: November 27, 2023 TIME STARTED: 6:00 PM TIME ENDED: 6:26 PM MEMBERS PRESENT: Councilmembers Stoesz, Lyden, Ruhland, Cavegn, Mayor Rafferty Staff members present: City Administrator Sarah Cotton; Finance Director Hannah Lynch; Public Safety Director John Swenson; Community Development Director Michael Grochala; Activity Center Coordinator Ben Natzke; City Clerk Jolleen Chaika. 1. Review Regular Agenda Mayor Rafferty began agenda review with the proposed policy changes for the Rookery as presented on the Consent Agenda. Ben Natzke, Rookery Activity Center Coordinator was present and provided a brief update on the status at the Rookery, including membership increases as well a New Year's promos and some new advertising that will be soon implemented. H also highlighted that much of the proposed policy changes focus around the age requirements for the various spaces at the Rookery. Changes were also made to lifeguard policies after switching from Ellis and Associates to Red Cross for lifeguard certification. No further agenda items were discussed. 2. New Fire Apparatus Update, Dan L'Allier Deputy Director of Public Safety/Fire, Dan L'Allier, provided Council an update on the new fire appartus and provided some current photos. He advised that delivery of the first truck is anticipated at the end of December, with the second expected about two weeks after that. He advised anticipated service date for both is February 1 and that training will begin upon delivery for the anticipated service date. The work session concluded at 6:26 PM.
