POST 566, COMMUNITY FAMILY PICNIC
WHEREAS, the American Legion Post 566 has applied for a special event permit; and,
WHEREAS, the event is scheduled to take place on August 16 & 17 with set-up on August
15 and take down on August 18; and,
WHEREAS, the event is to be hosted at the Lino Lakes American Legion Post 566; and
WHEREAS, the event is to take place during the City festival, Blue Heron Days; and
WHEREAS, the Public Safety Department has reviewed plans for the event; and,
WHEREAS, the America Legion Post 566 has applied for a two-day temporary on -sale
liquor license, and
WHEREAS, proof of general liability insurance has been submitted to cover the event;
WHEREAS, American Legion Post 566 volunteers will be present to control parking and
event logistics; and,,
WHEREAS, city staff has reviewed the Special Event Permit application and plan for the
event for compliance with city ordinance and regulations.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Lino Lakes, Minnesota that the
City Council authorizes issuance of a Special Event Permit and Temporary On -Sale Liquor License
for the American Legion Post 566 to host a Community Family Picnic on August 16, 2024 and
August 17, 2024, with set-up and take -down the day before and after the event,, at the American
Legion Post 566.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 12 1h day of August, 2024.
