TOPIC: Main Street Master Plan Process
BACKGROUND
Kimley Horn was retained by the City to lead the Main Street Corridor Master Plan and
Alternative Urban Areawide Review (AUAR) process. The planning area is defined by Sunset
Avenue on the west, 4t" Avenue to the east, Pine Street on the north, and Century Trail/Carl
Street on the south. The area encompasses approximately 980 acres.
Project work has been underway over the past several weeks to gather information, prepare
the communications plan and begin evaluating site characteristics. The project team has also
begun stakeholder outreach, including Rice Creek Watershed District, both Centennial and
Forest Lake School districts, developers (Zikar Holdings and Pulte Homes) and the Love Lino
Lakes group representatives. Additional outreach to property owners within the project area
along with other regulatory agencies is underway.
Kimley Horn representatives will review the process, provide background information and
facilitate discussion on the planning objectives and goals. They will provide an initial review of
the project area and comprehensive plan guidance for discussion.
