TOPIC: Main Street Master Plan Process

BACKGROUND
Kimley Horn was retained by the City to lead the Main Street Corridor Master Plan and
Alternative Urban Areawide Review (AUAR) process. The planning area is defined by Sunset
Avenue on the west, 4th Avenue to the east, Pine Street on the north, and Century Trail/Carl
Street on the south. The area encompasses approximately 980 acres.
The City held it first all Board and Council meeting on November 21, 2024. The first Open House
was held on December 4, 2024. We had a good turnout with over 80+ participants. A summary
of the Open House comments is located on the Resources — Mapping Northwest Main.
Kimley Horn representatives will be discussing meeting feedback and reviewing revised land
use scenarios.
