RESOLUTION NO. 25-23
RESOLUTION APPROVING SUMMARY OF
ORDINANCE NO. 01-25 FOR PUBLICATION
WHEREAS, the City Council has approved the first and second readings of Ordinance No.
01-25 amending City Code Chapter 617; and
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 01-25 is lengthy, and Minn. Statute 412.191 provides for a city
to publish a summary of an ordinance; and
WHEREAS, the City Council determines that the summary clearly informs the public of the
intent and effect of the ordinance; and
WHEREAS, the publication in the official newspaper will include a notice that a full printed
copy of the ordinance is available at City Hall.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Lino Lakes, Minnesota that the
summary of Ordinance No. 01-25, attached hereto as Exhibit A, for publication according to State
Law and City Charter is approved.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 24th day of February, 2025.

SUMMARY OF ORDINANCE NO. 01-25 AMENDING CHAPTER 617 OF THE CITY
CODE CONCERNING THE REGULATION OF CANNABIS BUSINESSES
The City Council of Lino Lakes ordains:
Section 1. Chapter 617 of the Lino Lakes City Code is hereby amended in its entirety by
establishing cannabis and hemp business regulations. The ordinance includes the following sections:

CANNABIS BUSINESSES
SECTION:
617.01: Findings and Purpose; Authority and Jurisdiction
617.02: Definitions
617.03: State License Required
617.04: Retail Registration
617.05: Performance Standards
617.06: Minimum Buffer Requirement
617.07: Temporary Cannabis Events
617.08: Use in Public Places
617.09: Local Government as a Cannabis Retailer
617.10 Severability
Section 2. This Ordinance shall be in force and effect from and after upon its passage and
publication according to the Lino Lakes City Charter.
ADOPTED by the Lino Lakes City Council this 24th day of February, 2025.
