HomeMy WebLinkAbout26-015 - Resolution - 2026 Street Rehab - Award ContractCITY OF LINO LAKES RESOLUTION NO. 26-15 ACCEPT BID AND AWARDING A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT 2026 STREET REHABILITATION PROJECT WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the construction of the 2026 Street Rehabilitation Project, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement; and Contractor Base Bid Alternate 1- Base Bid and Alternates North Valley, Inc $882,175.37 $154,607.49 $1,036,782.86 GIVIH Asphalt Corporation $910,610.93 $194,429.33 $1,105,040.26 Park Construction Company $921,279.99 $179,693.76 $1,100,973.75 Northwest $922,252.18 $207,926.50 $1,130,178.68 Valley Paving, Inc $1,003,137.16 $207,261.62 $1,210,398.78 Winberg Companies LLC $1,105,116.22 $243,433.84 $1,348,550.06 Bituminous Roadways $1,131,973.00 $274,282.00 $1,406,255.00 WHEREAS, it appears that North Valley, Inc is the lowest responsible bidder; and WHEREAS, the base bid and bid alternate amount are within the budgeted amount and the City Council finds that it would be in the best interest of the city to proceed with the project, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes: 1. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with North Valley, Inc in the amount of $1,036,782.86 by the name of the City of Lino Lakes for the construction of the 2026 Street Rehabilitation Project according to the plans and specifications approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the City Clerk. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidder the Bid Bonds made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next two lowest bidders shall be retained until a contract has been signed.
