CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 26-05 <br />APPROVING COMPREHENSIVE PLAN AMENDMENT RELATED TO <br />PELTIER PONDS <br />WHEREAS, the City received a land use application for a Comprehensive Plan <br />Amendment related to Peltier Ponds, a master planned residential development, and <br />WHEREAS, the 125 acre site has three (3) land use designations per the City's 2040 <br />Comprehensive Plan: low density, medium density, and high density. See attached Existing <br />Comprehensive Plan Map; and <br />WHEREAS, per the City's 2040 Comprehensive Plan, the areas are not intended to be <br />strict land use and density boundaries but should be considered somewhat flexible to <br />accommodate development; however, the Met Council requires a formal comprehensive plan <br />amendment to adjust the land use boundaries, and <br />WHEREAS, the proposed land use plan amendment decreases the allowed number of <br />housing units by one; and <br />Existing Comp Plan <br />Proposed Comp Plan <br />Range of Allowed # of <br />383-568 <br />382-568 <br />Housing Units <br />WHEREAS, the Comprehensive Plan Amendment was emailed on November 18, 2025 to <br />affected jurisdictions for their review and comment. The 60 day comment period ended January <br />17, 2026. There were no objections. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Lino Lakes, Minnesota that <br />the 2040 Comprehensive Plan is hereby amended to re -guide property as shown on the <br />attached Proposed Comprehensive Plan Map. <br />Adopted by the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 23rd day of February, 2026. <br />1 <br />
