I. CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL :
Chair Tralle called the Lino Lakes Planning and Zoning Board meeting to order at 6 :31
p.m . on June 8 , 2011 .
II. A PROVAL OF AGENDA
T he Agenda was a pproved as presented .
III . APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
March 9, 2011
Mr. Pogalz made a MOTION to approve the March 9, 2011 Meeting Minutes. Motion
was supported by Mr. Hyden . Motion carrie d 3 - 0 . (Evenson, Laden & Nelso n
abstained.)
May 11, 2011
Mr. Nelson made a MOTION to approve the May 11 , 2011 Meeting Minutes. Motion
was supported by Mr. Laden . Motion carried 4 - 0 . (Hyden abstained.)

Mr. Pogalz made a MOTION to close Open Mike at 6 :34 p.m. M otion was supported by
M r . Nelson . Motion carried 5 - 0 .
Mr. Root arrived at 6:35 p.m.
V. ACTION ITEMS
A. P UBLIC HEARING to conside r amending Section 8 of the Zoning Or dinance
to include Temporary Concrete Product Plants and similar uses as an Interim
Use within the Light Industrial Zoning District; and to consider an Interim Use
Permit for such use at 2209 Phelps Road
Associate Planner, Paul Bengtson , presented the sta ff report. Staff recommended
approval of the Zoning Ordinance Text Amendment and the Interim Use Permit .
C hair Tralle declared the Public Hearing for the Zoning Ordinance Text Amendment
open at 6 :44 p.m.
Nick Arnt, 2209 Phelps Road, applicant, summarize d his request for the board.
Mr. Pogalz made a MOTION at 6:45 p.m. to C lose the Public Hearing. Motion was
supported by Mr. Hyden . Motion carried 6 - 0.
Mr. Nelson made a MOTION to recommend approval of Amending Section 8 of the
Zoning Ordinance .
Mo tion was supported by Mr. Hyden . Motion carried 6 - 0 .
Chair Tralle declared the Public Hearing for the Interim Use Permit open at 6:52 p.m.
Nick Arnt, 2209 Phelps Road, applicant was present for questions.
Mr. Pogalz made a MOTION at 6:56 p.m. to Clos e the Public Hearing. Motion was
supported by Mr. Nelson. Motion carried 6 - 0.
Mr. Pogalz made a MOTION to recommend approval of an Interim Use Permit at 2209
Phelps Road.
Motion was supported by Mr. Hyden. Motion carried 6 - 0 .
B. CONTINUED PUBLIC HEARING to consider Amending the Conditional Use
Permit for a motor fuel station to allow for the installation of new gas pumps
and canopy, located at 7997 Lake Drive

City Planner, Jeff Smyser, presented the staff report. Staff recommended continuation of
the CUP Amendment as staff was awaiting additional information from the applicant .
Chair Tralle declared the Public Hearing open at 7 :01 p.m.
There was no one present to speak.
Mr. Poga lz made a MOTION at 7:02 p.m. to continue the Public Hearing to t he next
meeting. Motion was supported by Mr. Nelson . Motion carried 6 - 0.
C. PUBLIC HEARING to consider Amending Section 6 of the Zoning Ordinance
which includes requirements for residential zoning districts
City Planner, Jeff Smyser, presented the staf f report.
Staff addressed questions of the board.
Chair Tralle declared the Public Hearing open at 7 :02 p.m.
Following discussion, the Board directed staff to complete additional research regarding
the minimum size requirements for Single Family Dwell ings.
There was no one present to speak.
Mr. Laden made a MOTION to Continue the Public Hearing to the next meeting at 8 :05
p.m.
Motion was supported by Mr. Hyden . Motion carried 6 - 0 .
