There was discussion on the wheels program. Member s talked about the liability issue, other communities that have one, and the demand for such a facility. After discussion members decided to release the fol lowing dedicated funds: Wheels Project $10,000 Trail renovation funds throughout trail system back into trails $ 9,200 Funds to pave Behm’s Development back into trails to continue the linear trail system $35,000 Release the excess funds for City Hall Park West im provements $ 2,667 Release parks and trail improvements funds to compl ete the Black Duck Trail $27,444 Members decided they wanted to leave $12,000 - $15,000 in the Park Dedication Fund for a reserve. Pat’s Recommendations: Reserve - $10,000 - $15,000 Wanted money used for a trail connection from Birch Park to Trappers Crossing ½ court basketball courts throughout the park syste m Paul’s Recommendations: Reserve – $15,000 Use $50,000 for Pheasant Hills trail to Regional Pa rk Reserve Use $15,000 to $20,000 for grading green space in Q uail Ridge Park Use $15,000 to $20,000 for Clearwater Creek Park $15,000 for Marshan Park grading and turf establish ment Chris’s Recommendations: Chris would like to see some money go to the Quail Ridge Park Would like to see $5,000 for benches, sand volleyba ll, and horseshoes Pam’s Recommendations: Reserve - $10,000 Would like to see some money go towards the renovat ion of the ballfield at Sunset Oaks Park ½ court basketball court in Sunset Oaks Park Finish Marshan Park George’s Recommendations: Acquire land and finish trail to Trappers Crossing Money for a east or west trail connection in Quail Ridge Bill’s Recommendations: Finish trail to Trappers Crossing Quail Ridge trail Trail from Pheasant Hills to Regional Park Reserve Some improvements in Country Lakes Parks Mike’s Recommendations Finish Marshan Park $50,000 for Pheasant Hills trail to Regional Park R eserve Pave Clearwater Creek trail Quail Ridge trail segment There was a lot of discussion on what could be done for the residents in the Quail Ridge Park area. It was agreed that it would take a considera ble amount of money to begin development of this park. Listed below is the 2001 Park Board Goals: Trappers Crossing to Birch Park $40,000 Completion of Marshan Park $15,000 Trail Renovation $10,000 Finish Behm’s Park Development $ 7,000 Pheasant Hills Trail Connection to Regional Park Reserve $50,000 If funds become available during the year 2001, Par k Board Members would like to use it for these possible projects: Begin development of Quail Ridge Park Up to $200,000 Begin development of Clearwater Creek Park Up to $300,000 Pave trails in Behm’s Development $ 2 5,000 LaMotte Park – Playground Equipment $ 30,000 ½ court basketball courts throughout park system $ 40,000 Pheasant Hills trail connection $ 40,000 Trail segment through Outlot F to Sunset Oaks Park $ 20,000 The 2001 Goals will be placed on the February 5, 20 01 Park Board agenda for further discussion.
