TOPIC: Canvass Election Returns
VOTE REQUIRED: Simple Majority (3/5 Vote)
BACKGROUND:
Minnesota Statute 205.185 requires that the governing body of a city conducting an
election shall act as the canvassing board, canvass the returns and declare the results of
the election within seven days after the election. Included with this agenda item are the
returns of the November 3, 2009 Lino Lakes Municipal Election.
