CITY OF LINO LAKES
RESOLUTION NO. 09-58
AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT FOR
HEAT ( HiVis Enforcement of Aggressive Traffic) COMMUNITIES GRANT
Resolved by the City Council of The City of Lino Lakes:
That the Lino Lakes Police Department be authorized to enter into a grant
agreement with the Minnesota Department of Public Safety, Office of Traffic
Safety, Minnesota State Patrol, for the project entitled HEAT (HiVis Enforcement
of Aggressive Traffic) Communities, during the period of October 1, 2009 through
September 30, 2010.
Be It Further Resolved that the Chief of the Lino Lakes Police Department is
hereby authorized to execute such agreements and amendments as are
necessary to implement the project on behalf of the Lino Lakes Police
Department and to be the fiscal agent and administer said grant.
Passed by the Lino Lakes City Council this 10th day of August 2009.

Safety for HEAT (HiVis Enforcement of Aggressive Traffic)
Communities grant

BACKGROUND
The Lino Lakes Police Department began participation in the HEAT (HiVis
• Enforcement of Aggressive Traffic) program this year. Lino Lakes and Blaine Police
Department along with the Minnesota State Patrol participate in the program to
collectively work at making the roadways safer throughout the our cities.
RECOMMENDATION
Approval of Resolution No. 09 -58 authorizing execution of an agreement with the
Minnesota Department of Public Safety to participate in the HEAT Communities
program.
