CITY OF LINO LAKES
RESOLUTION NO. 09-59
AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT FOR
SAFE & SOBER COMMUNITIES GRANT
Resolved by the City Council of The City of Lino Lakes:
That the Lino Lakes Police Department be authorized to enter into a grant
agreement with the Minnesota Department of Public Safety, Office of Traffic
Safety, for the project entitled Safe & Sober Communities, during the period of
October 1, 2009 through September 30, 2010.
Be It Further Resolved that the Chief of the Coon Rapids Police Department is
hereby authorized to execute such agreements and amendments as are
necessary to implement the project on behalf of the Lino Lakes Police
Department and to be the fiscal agent and administer said grant.
Passed by the Lino Lakes City Council this 10th day of August 2009.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by
Council Member Gallup and upon vote being taken thereon, the following
voted in favor thereof:
Reinert, Gallup, Stoltz, O'Donnell, Bergeson

Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.

Consideration of Resolution No. 09 -59 authorizing
execution of agreement with the Department of Public
Safety for Safe & Sober Communities grant
VOTE REQUIRED: Simple Majority
BACKGROUND
The Lino Lakes Police Department has participated in the Safe & Sober Communities
program for the past ten years. All law enforcement agencies in Anoka County
participate in the program to collectively work at making the roadways safer throughout
the enter county. The Coon Rapids Police Department will be the lead agency for all
eleven law enforcement agencies for this traffic safety effort.
RECOMMENDATION
Approval of Resolution No. 09 -59 authorizing execution of an agreement with the
Minnesota Department of Public Safety to participate in the Safe & Sober
Communities program.
