Council Member popspr introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
CITY OF LINO LAKES
RESOLUTION NO. 10 -23
RESOLUTION APPROVING CHANGE ORDER NO. 20
LAKE DRIVE /I35W IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
WHEREAS, pursuant to the resolution of the City Council adopted May 14, 2007, the
City awarded the construction contract for the Lake Drive /I -35W Improvement Project to
Lunda Construction Company; and
WHEREAS, the project engineer has determined that the coarse aggregate for for
ready -mix concrete used for the Bridge No. 02817 north approach panel failed to meet
gradation requirements; and
WHEREAS, the Mn /DOT Concrete Office, has recommened that the deficient material
be allowed to remain in place at a reduced price.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LINO LAKES, MINNESOTA:

Adopted by the Lino Lakes City Council this 8th day of March, 2010.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Council
Member Gallup and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor
thereof:
Roeser, Gallup, ODonnell, Rafferty, Reinert
The following voted against same:
none
Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.

Location: In Lino Lakes on CSAH 23 (Lake Dr.) From 1000 ft. south of Town Center Parkway to Apollo Dr.
In accordance with the terms of this Contract, you are hereby authorized and instructed to perform the Work as altered by the following provisions.
The aggregate test reports and material disposition forms compiled by Mn /DOT indicate that on 5 -9 -08 the
coarse aggregate for ready -mix concrete supplied by Cemstone Plant #7 & #17 Blaine failed to meet the
gradation requirements for Mn /DOT Specification 3137 CA -50.
This concrete was used for Bridge No. 02817 North Approach Panel.
Upon recommendation of the Concrete Office, the concrete containing the deficient material will be allowed to
remain in place at a reduced price. The dollar amount to be deducted from the Contractor's project payable
monies is computed as shown below in the Estimate of Costs.
