HomeMy WebLinkAbout2010-037 Council Resolution• • Council Member liu-V introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: CITY OF LINO LAKES RESOLUTION NO. 10 -37 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING $10,265 GRANT FROM MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT FOR CONTINUED SUPPORT OF THE COMMUNITY EMERGENCY RESPONSE TEAM WHEREAS, The Lino Lakes Police Department has implemented a community partnership in the form of a Community Emergency Response Team; and WHEREAS, The Minnesota Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Management has awarded the City of Lino Lakes additional grant funds in the amount of $10,265 in support of advancing this partnership effort; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the Lino Lakes City Council members, do hereby accept the grant of $10,265. • uli - Bartell, Ci y Clerk Jeff Rei , ayor Adopted by the Lino Lakes City Council this 12th day of April, 2010. VOTES REQUIRED: Simple Majority BACKGROUND The Lino Lakes Police Department is requesting that the city council adopt Resolution • No 10 -37 accepting a grant of $10,265.000 from the Minnesota Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Management. The funds are an extension of a grant previously awarded to the Lino Lakes Police Department in 2008. The funds will be utilized to continue to strengthen our partnership with the community by enhancing the expertise of the Community Emergency Response Team. OPTIONS 1. Adopt Resolution No. 10 -37 accepting the grant. 2. Return the Resolution to staff for further information. RECOMMENDATION Option No. 1
