HomeMy WebLinkAbout2010-057 Council Resolution• Council Member Gallup introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: • CITY OF LINO LAKES RESOLUTION NO. 10 -57 RESOLUTION APPROVING A SUMMARY OF ORDINANCE NO. 08 -10 FOR PUBLICATION WHEREAS, the City Council has approved the first and second reading of Ordinance No. 08 -10, amending the Zoning Ordinance sections regarding Accessory Structures and Buildings; and WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 08 -10 is lengthy and MN Statute 412.191 provides for a city to publish a summary of an ordinance, and WHEREAS, the City Council determines that the summary clearly informs the public of the intent and effect of the ordinance, and WHEREAS, the publication in the official newspaper will include a notice that a full printed copy of the ordinance is available at City Hall. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the City Council approves the summary in Attachment A for publication according to state law and the City Charter. Passed by the Lino Lakes City Council this 28th day of June 2010. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Council Member Roeser and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Gallup, Roeser, Rafferty, O'Donnell, Reinert The following voted against same: vvhoereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. • ATTACHMENT A, RESOLUTION 10 -57 CITY OF LINO LAKES COUNTY OF ANOKA SUMMARY OF ORDINANCE NO. 08 -10 AN ORDINANCE amending the Zoning Ordinance sections regulating Accessory Structures and Buildings. The purpose of amending the Accessory Structures and Buildings section of the Zoning Ordinance is to clarify the regulations related to accessory structures, and to amend the allowance of accessory structure area on residential and rural properties based more directly on the size of properties. Section 3.Subdivision 4.D (Accessory Structures and Buildings) of the Zoning Ordinance includes the following sections: 1. General Provisions 2. Sport Courts 3. Swimming Pools 4. Houseboats 5. Ice Fishing Houses 6. Docks & Boat Launches 7. Roadside Stands 8. Domestic Animal Shelters 9. Rural & Residential Zoning District Accessory Buildings 10. Commercial and Industrial Zoning Districts Passed by the Lino Lakes City Council on June 28, 2010. This is a summary of the adopted ordinance.
