CITY OF LINO LAKES
RESOLUTION NO. 10 -74
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE LINO LAKES POLICE DEPARTMENT TO ENTER
INTO A GRANT AGREEMENT FOR THE SAFE & SOBER COMMUNITES PROGRAM
Resolved by the City Council of The City of Lino Lakes:
That the Lino Lakes Police Department is authorized to enter into a grant
agreement with the Minnesota Department of Public Safety, Office of Traffic Safety, for
the project entitled "Safe & Sober Communities" during the period from October 1, 2010
through September 30, 2011.
Be It Further Resolved that the Chief of the Coon Rapids Police Department is
hereby authorized to execute such agreements and amen : i ents as ar- i - cessary to
implement the project on behalf of the Lino Lakes P - ce Depa • - nt and to be the
fiscal agent and administer the grant.

Adopted by the Lino Lakes City Council this 23rd day of August, 2010.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Council
MembeP ' Donnelind upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor
thereof:
Roeser, O'Donnell Rafferty, Gallup, Reinert
The following voted against same:
none
Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.

TOPIC Consideration to Approve Resolution No. approving
the Lino Lakes Police Department to participate in the
Safe and Sober project
VOTED REQUIRED Simple Majority
BACKGROUND:
The Minnesota Department of Public Safety, Office of Traffic Safety has once again
awarded a grant for the 11 Anoka County law enforcement agencies to participate
jointly in the Safe and Sober project for the period of October 1, 2010 through
September 30, 2011. The Coon Rapids Police Department has been designated to
411 execute the agreements and amendments as are necessary to implement the project
on behalf of the Lino Lakes Police Department.
The attached resolution allows the City of Lino Lakes to participate in the Safe & Sober
Communities initiative.
OPTIONS:
1. Approve Resolution .
2. Return to staff for further consideration.
RECOMMENDATION:
1. Approve and sign.
