Council Member Gallup introduced the following resolution and
moved its adoption:
CITY OF LINO LAKES
COUNTY OF ANOKA
RESOLUTION NO. 10 -83
RESOLUTION APPROVING PEDDLERS LICENSE
WHEREAS, Skycom, Inc., has submitted a peddlers license application to the
city clerk's office; and
WHEREAS, Skycom, Inc. has complied with all of the provisions of Chapter 613
of the Lino Lakes City Code for obtaining the necessary license for a for - profit
business; and
WHEREAS, the Lino Lakes Police Department has conducted a background
check on the company representative that would be working in Lino Lakes, Mr.
David Rasmussen;
• NOW, THEREFORE, by order of the Lino Lakes City Council, Mr. David
Rasmussen, an employee of Skycom, Inc., is hereby authorized to vend for a
period of six - months beginning September 28, 2010 and ending March 28, 2011,
subject to all conditions and provisions of the Lino Lakes City Code.
Passed by the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 27th day of September,
2010.

Council MemberRafferty and upon vote being taken thereon, the following
voted in favor thereof:

TOPIC: Resolution No. 10 -83, Approving Peddlers License for
Skycom, Inc.
VOTE REQUIRED: Simple Majority (3/5 Vote)
BACKGROUND:
Skycom, Inc., a company located in Excelsior, Minnesota, has submitted a
peddler's license application to the city clerk's office. The company
representative who would be working in Lino Lakes, Mr. David Rasmussen,
plans to travel through the Lino Lakes' neighborhoods offering Direct TV and
Qwest services on a door to door basis.
The City has received all the necessary forms required to issue this company a
• license. The Lino Lakes Police Department has performed a background check
and indicated there would be no reason to recommend denial of the license.
The application and all other required information is on file in the city clerk's
office for review.
OPTIONS:
1. Approve Resolution No. 10 -83 approving the issuance of a Peddler
License for a six month period commencing September 28, 2010.
2. Deny Resolution No. 10 -83.
