CITY OF LINO LAKES
COUNTY OF ANOKA
RESOLUTION NO. 08 -56
APPROVING THE RENEWAL OF LIQUOR, WINE, BEER AND DANCE LICENSES
FOR THE 2008/2009 LICENSING PERIOD
Whereas, the licensing period for liquor, wine, beer and dance licenses in the City of
Lino Lakes is one year, commencing on July 1 and ending on June 30 the following
year;
Whereas, the City Council is required to approve the renewal of liquor and wine licenses
prior to State issuance of a license;
Whereas, City staff has reviewed the renewal applications that have been submitted
and verified that state and local licensing regulations are met;
Whereas, the Lino Lakes Police Department has completed the required background
investigations;
• NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LINO LAKES, MINNESOTA:

The City of Lino Lakes hereby adopts Resolution No. 08 -56 approving the renewal of
liquor, wine, beer and dance licenses as set forth in Exhibit A that is attached to this
resolution.
Adopted by the Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 27th day of May, 2008.

MemberGallup and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor
thereof:

Consider Resolution No 08 -56, Approving
the renewal of Liquor, Wine, Beer and
Dance License Renewals
Simple Majority (3/5 Vote Required)
All liquor, wine, beer (3.2) and dance licenses in the City of Lino Lakes expire on
June 30, 2008. Staff has been working with the license holders to put in place all
required renewal information so as to allow for Council consideration at this time. A
majority of these licenses require review by the Minnesota Department of Public Safety
Alcohol and Gambling Division and it is appropriate to allow a 30 day period, after
Council consideration, for that review.
I am attaching a list of the establishments that have submitted renewal applications. As
indicated the applicants are required to complete all necessary documentation
addressing state and local requirements for the license they request.
The Police Department has completed background investigations for the applicants and
has indicated no new information that would lead to a recommendation of denial of any
of these licenses.
OPTIONS:
1. Adopt Resolution 08 -56 approving renewal of liquor, wine, beer and dance
licenses for the period of July 1, 2008 through June 30, 2009.
2. Deny any or all of said licenses.
