CITY OF LINO LAKES
RESOLUTION NO 08 -102
A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING A DONATION FROM THE
FRIENDS OF THE PARK FOUNDATION
WHEREAS, The Friends of the Lino Lakes Parks Foundation was established in 1992 to
provide the structure through which residents, neighborhoods, and friends of the City of Lino
Lakes may channel donations, bequests, and other gifts of financial aid to enhance the city's
parks and recreational programs; and
WHEREAS, Earlier this year, The Friends of the Lino Lakes Parks Foundation dissolved; and
WHEREAS, The Friends of the Lino Lakes Parks Foundation Board has generously donated
$10,052.70 to the City of Lino Lakes for future parks and trails projects.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes
hereby accepts the donation from The Friends of the Lino Lakes Parks Foundation.
Adopted by the Lino Lakes City Council this 22nd day of September, 2008.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Council Member
Gallup and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor
thereof:
Stoltz, Gallup, O'Donnell, Bergeson, Reinert
The following voted against same:
none
Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.

Donation From Friends of the Park Foundation
VOTE REQUIRED: Simple Majority
BACKGROUND:
The Friends of the Lino Lakes Parks Foundation was established in 1992 to provide the
structure through which residents, neighborhoods, and friends of the City of Lino Lakes
may channel donations, bequests, and other gifts of financial aid to enhance the city's
parks and recreational programs. In addition, this non - profit corporation sponsored a
tree sale each Fall to generate funds. Earlier this year, The Friends of the Lino Lakes
Parks Foundation dissolved.
The Friends of the Lino Lakes Parks Foundation Board has generously donated
$10,052.70 to the City of Lino Lakes for future parks and trails projects.
