CITY OF LINO LAKES
RESOLUTION NO. 08 -119
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING DONATION FROM CECELIA WOODRICH FOR THE
LINO LAKES POLICE EXPLORERS.
WHEREAS, the Lino Lakes Police Explorers train to compete in State and National
competitions against other Explorer Posts; and
WHEREAS, the Lino Lakes Police Explorers volunteer their time and services to the
Lino Lakes community and surrounding communities throughout the year;
and
WHEREAS, Cecilia Woodrich donated a Smith & Wesson .357 Magnum revolver
valued at $244 to be used to by the Explorers to the State and National
competitions.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the Lino Lakes City Council members, do
hereby accept the donation of a revolver valued at $244 and wishes to express its
gratitude to Cecilia Woodrich for the donation.

Adopted by the Lino Lakes City Council this 13th day of October, 2008.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Council
Member Stoltz and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor
thereof:
Reinert, Stoltz, Gallup, O'Donnell, Bergeson
The following voted against same:
none
Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.

BACKGROUND
The Lino Lakes Police Department is requesting council to adopt Resolution No. 08 -119
and publicly accept and thank Cecilia Woodrich for her generous donation of a Smith &
Wesson .357 Magnum revolver valued at $244 to the Lino Lakes Police Explorers.
OPTIONS
1. Adopt Resolution No. 08 -119 accepting the donation.
2. Return the Resolution to staff for further information.
