CITY OF LINO LAKES
RESOLUTION NO. 11 -09
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE LINO LAKES POLICE DEPARTMENT TO ENTER
INTO A GRANT AGREEMENT TO PARTICIPATE IN THE DWI TASK FORCE.
Resolved by the City Council of The City of Lino Lakes:
That the Lino Lakes Police Department is authorized to enter into a grant
agreement with the Minnesota Department of Public Safety, Office of Traffic Safety, for
the DWI Task Force during the period from October 1, 2010 through September 30,
2011.
Be It Further Resolved that the Chief of the Blaine Police Department is hereby
authorized to execute such agreements and amendme e nec- _ . to
implement the project on behalf of the Lino Lakes '. ice Dep.,. ent and to be the
fiscal agent and administer the grant.

Adopted by the Lino Lakes City Council this 24th day of January, 2011.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Council
Memberp sfr and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor
thereof:
Gallup, Roeser, Rafferty, O'Donnell, Reinert

Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.

TOPIC: Approving the Lino Lakes Police Department's
participation in the DWI Task Force
VOTE REQUIRED: Simply Majority
BACKGROUND
The Minnesota Department of Public Safety, Office of Traffic Safety has awarded the
law enforcement agencies of Anoka County a grant for the period of October 1, 2010
through September 30, 2011. The Blaine Police Department has been designated to
execute the agreements and amendments as are necessary to implement the project
on behalf of the Lino Lakes Police Department.
OPTIONS
1. Approve Resolution No. 11 -09, Authorizing the Lino Lakes Police Department to
enter into a grant agreement to participate in the DWI Task Force.
2. Return resolution to staff for further consideration.
