CITY OF LINO LAKES
RESOLUTION NO. 05-156
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXPENDITURES FOR
COMMUNITY SURVEY
WHEREAS, the City Council identified conducting a community survey within it 2005
goals and annual budget, and
WHEREAS, the City Council directed staff in July to initiate the Community Survey
project by soliciting proposals, and
WHEREAS, a proposal to design and conduct a community and present the survey
results was received from Decision Resources, Ltd. for a base cost of $10,200.00,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LINO LAKES, MINNESOTA THAT city staff is authorized to enter into a
contract with Decision Resources, Ltd. for services to complete the Community Survey
proj ect.
Adopted by the Lino Lakes City Council this 10th day of October, 2005.

Expenditures For a Community Survey
BACKGROUND
The City Council identified conducting a community survey within it 2005 goals and annual
budget. At the September 21, 2005 Council work session, a proposal from Decision Resources
Ltd. to prepare, conduct, and present the results of a community survey was reviewed and
discussed. Staff was directed to obtain additional information related to survey methodology.
This information was presented to the council on October 5, 2005. Staff was directed to bring
the proposal forward for action.
OPTIONS.
1. Approve Resolution No. 05 -156, authorizing expenditures for a community survey to be
performed by Decision Resources, Ltd. Return to staff with direction
2. Return to staff with direction.
RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends approval.
