HomeMy WebLinkAbout2006-012 Council ResolutionCouncil Member introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: COUNTY OF ANOKA CITY OF LINO LAKES RESOLUTION NO. 06-12 PREMISES PERMIT RENEWAL APPLICATION FOR VFW POST 6583, 7868 LAKE DRIVE, LINO LAKES, MN WHEREAS, WHEREAS, WHEREAS, the Lino Lakes City Council met at its regularly scheduled meeting of February 13, 2006; and the Minnesota Gambling Control Board requires organizations to notify the city council at the time of application; and the Minnesota Gambling Control Board requires organizations to submit a resolution from the city council approving the premises permit application; and WHEREAS, the Lino Lakes Police Department has conducted a background investigation; and WHEREAS, the VFW Post 6583 is in compliance with City Ordinance. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Lino Lakes City Council hereby approves the premises permit renewal application for VFW Post 6583 to conduct lawful gambling at 7868 Lake Drive, Lino Lakes, Minnesota. The MN Gambling Control Board requires organizations to notify the appropriate local authority at the time of application. According to Minnesota Statute 349.213, Subd. 2, the Gambling Control Board may not issue or renew a premises permit unless the organization submits a resolution of approval from the city council. The Lino Lakes Police Department has conducted a background investigation of the CEO and has found no reason to deny approval. Copies of the renewal application, the personal history form and the background investigation results are on file in the City Clerk's office. OPTIONS: 1. Approve Resolution 06 -12 2.
