HomeMy WebLinkAbout2006-113 Council ResolutionCouncil Member C"bIZ introduced the following resolution and moved 1111 its adoption: CITY OF LINO LAKES COUNTY OF ANOKA RESOLUTION NO. 06 -113 APPROVING ISSUANCE OF A PEDDLER/TRANSIENT MERCHANT LICENSE TO T.A.P. ENTERPRISES WHEREAS, T.A.P. Enterprises have submitted an application for a peddler's license to the city clerk's office, requesting permission to conduct a tool and general merchandise sale at the VFW hall and parking lot at 7868 Lake Drive on July 14 and 15, 2006; and WHEREAS, the applicants have complied with all of the provisions of Chapter 612 of the Lino Lakes City Code for obtaining a license for a profit business; and WHEREAS, the Lino Lakes Police Department has completed the required background investigations and has found no reason to deny the license; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY • OF LINO LAKES, MINNESOTA: • The City of Lino Lakes hereby adopts Resolution No. 06 -113 approving issuance of a peddler /transient merchant license to T.A.P. Enterprises of Fremont, Nebraska, to be effective for a six month period commencing upon passage of this resolution. Enterprises Simple Majority (3/5 Vote Required) The City has received an application for a peddler /transient merchant license from T.A.P. Enterprises of Fremont, Nebraska, to hold a tool and general merchandise sale at North Air Banquets (VFW hall), 7868 Lake Drive, on Friday, July 14 and Saturday, July 15, 2006. The applicant indicates they would be displaying their merchandise in the hall area for payment and eventual pick up from semi - trucks in the parking lot. The hours of the sale are 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Upon receipt of the application, personal history forms for all who would be involved in the sale were forwarded to the Police Department for a background check. The permit application and background information are on file in the city clerk's office. If issued, the license would be in place for a period of six months. OPTIONS: 1.
