Council Member Reinert introduced the following resolution and
moved its adoption:
COUNTY OF ANOKA
CITY OF LINO LAKES
RESOLUTION NO. 06 -129
AUTHORIZING A SPECIAL EVENT PERMIT
FOR A FOOD, FUN AND GAMES EVENT AT THE
CIRCLE LEX VFW POST #6583
WHEREAS, Circle Lex VFW Post #6583, has submitted an application for a
special event permit to allow for a food, fun and games event on August 19,
2006, in conjunction with the Blue Heron Days festival; and
WHEREAS, the applicant has identified the following activities that will be a part
of this event:
Clowns, face painting, watermelon eating contest;
WHEREAS, all elements of the event will be conducted on the VFW property at
7868 Lake Drive; and
WHEREAS, the applicant has submitted plans to meet the City's requirements;
and
WHEREAS, proof of liability insurance for the City has been submitted by the
applicant;
Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved by The City Council of The City of Lino Lakes:
That the City Council authorizes the proper city staff to grant Special Event
Permit to VFW Post 7868, to hold a food, fun and games event on their property
at 7868 Lake Drive.
Approved by the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 14TH day of August,
2006.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by
Council Member. Carlson and upon a vote being aken -r:., following
voted in favor thereof:
