adoption:
CITY OF LINO LAKES
COUNTY OF ANOKA
RESOLUTION NO. 06 -140
RESOLUTION APPROVING THE ACQUISTION OF TAX FORFEIT
PROPERTIES FOR PUBLIC USE
WHEREAS, the County of Anoka has informed the City of Lino Lakes that two
parcels of property within the City forfeited to the State of Minnesota on August
29, 1990. Said parcels are legally described as follows:
That part of Lot 6, Block 10, Sunset Oaks Tying North of the South 220.26
feet thereof (Pin No. 18- 31- 22 -31- 0018); and
Lot 5, Block 2, Twilight Acres 2nd Addition
And
WHEREAS, said parcels are part of the City's Surface Water Management
System and used for drainage and utility purposes
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LINO LAKES, MINNESOTA:
1. Hereby approves the acquisition of said parcels for public use and
authorizes staff to complete the applications for the making of such
conveyances.
Adopted by the Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 28th day of August, 2006.

Anoka County has notified the city that two parcels within Lino Lakes forfeited to
the State of Minnesota on August 29, 1990. The County previously received a
letter from the City indicating a desire to acquire these properties for stormwater
ponds, however no formal application was completed.
One property is located at the intersection of 79th and Nancy Drive and the other
is located at the intersection of 74th Street and Jon Avenue. Both properties are
part of the City's Surface Water Management system with ponds constructed on
each of them.
RECOMMENDATION
Staff is recommending approval of Resolution No. 06 -140
