Council Member Carlson introduced the following resolution and moved its
adoption:
CITY OF LINO LAKES
RESOLUTION NO. 06 -150
APPROVING APPLICATION FOR EXEMPT LAWFUL GAMBLING PERMIT
TO CONDUCT RAFFLE
WHEREAS, Minnesota State Statutes, Section 349 requires non - profit
organizations to be licensed by the Gambling Control Board, and
WHEREAS, the Cystic Fibrosis (CF) Foundation has submitted an application to
hold a raffle at the Circle Lex VFW at 7868 Lake Drive as part of their 1St Annual
Cystic Fibrosis Raffle Rally Ride on September 30, 2006, and
WHEREAS, the CF Foundation has met the requirements and is eligible to
conduct gambling in the City; and
WHEREAS, the Minnesota Gambling Control Board requires the City of Lino
Lakes approve or deny this application by resolution;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Lino Lakes City Council hereby
approves the off -site gambling activities of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation to be
held at the Circle Lex VFW on September 30, 2006.
Adopted by the Lino Lakes City Council this 11th day of September, 2006

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by
Council Memberstoltz and upon vote being taken thereon, the following
voted in favor thereof:
Carlson, Stoltz, O'Donnell, Reinert, Bergeson
The following voted against same:
Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
