HomeMy WebLinkAbout1980-002 Council ResolutionR E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, the City Council has executed a Certificate of Indebtedness to the First State Bank of Huge, Hugo, Minnesota in the amount of $63,000.00, dated February 12, 1980, and WHEREAS, said Certificate of Indebtedness was issued to purchase a maintenance truck, with snow plow, wing and sander and police car, pursuant to Minnesota Statute Annotated 412.301, and WHEREAS, due to favorable purchases of said equipment, there is a surplus of $5,451.70 of said $63,000.00, and WHEREAS, the City Council desires to purchase a used front end loader and snow blower attachment from the State of Minnesota, as and for maintenance equip - ment, for the City, at a cost of $6,500.00, and WHEREAS said price for used said front end loader and snow blower attachment is deemed very reasonable, NOW THEREFORE, be it Resolved by the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes, Anoka County, Minnesota, that the City Council shall finance the purchase of said front end loader and snow blower attachment in part, by the use of the sum of $5,451.70 which money shall be withdrawn from the said Certificate of Indebtedness monies as said front end loader and snow blower attachment is to be used as maintenance equipment and the purchase of said equipment falls within the purview of Minnesota Statutes Annonated 412.301, and said sum shall be used to apply toward the purchase of said used front end loader and snow blower attachment by the :City as though such purchase had been initially considered in said Certificate of Indebtedness. Sarner,•Clerk- Treasurer • • RESOLUTION REQUESTING COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT FUNDING FOR IMPROVEMENTS IN THE LEXINGTON PARK - LAKEVIEW AREA. WHEREAS, Title I of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as amended, provides for a program of Community Development Block Grants; and, WHEREAS, Part 570, Chapter V of Title 24 of the Code of Federal Regulations, sets forth regulations governing the applicability and use of funds under Title I; and, WHEREAS, The City of Lino Lakes feels that they can demonstrate a need for such funding, to provide general improvements in the Lexington Park- Lakeview area; and WHEREAS, these improvements shall demonstrate that all criteria set out by the above Referenced regulations shall be met or exceeded; and NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT: The Lino Lakes City Council requests assistance for the Lexington Park - Lakeview area through funding of a Community Development Block Grant, and That these funds shall be used as required by the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974.
