CITY OF LINO LAKES
COUNTY OF ANOKA
STATE OF MINNESOTA
RESOLUTION REQUESTING A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE ANOKA COUNTY -
BLAINE AIRPORT MASTER PLAN.
WHEREAS, the Minneapolis -Saint Paul Metropolitan Airports Commission has
had a Draft Master Plan prepared by TRA Airports Consultants,
dated May, 1981, and
WHEREAS, the Minneapolis -Saint Paul Metropolitan Airports Commission will
use the recommendations provided in this Draft Master Plan to
establish a formal master plan, guiding the improvement /expansion
of the Anoka- Blaine Airport, and
WHEREAS, a Public Meeting held by the Metropolitan Airports Commission
on May 14, 1981, was inadequately publicized, in that recipients
of meeting notices did not receive such notices until after the
meeting had been held, and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Lino Lakes City Council that sufficient
opportunity be provided for public input in the master planning
process prior to adoption of such master plan by the Minneapolis-
Saint Paul Metropolitan Airports Commission.
NOW THERFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Lino
Lakes hereby request that the Minenapolis -Saint Paul Metropolitan
Airports Commission hold a Public Hearing, with the Comisssioner
present, on the Airport Master Plan prior to the selection of an
alternative identified in the Draft Master Plan, with said hearing
being publicized well in advance of the hearing date and at a
location convenient to property owners in the proximity of the
Anoka County- Blaine Airport, and that technical experts be pre-
sent at such Public Hearing to discuss the Draft Master Plan
and its technical details.
Passed by the Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 27th day of July,1981.
