HomeMy WebLinkAbout1982-003 Council Resolution• RESOLUTION 82 -3 RESOLUTION REQUESTING MEMBERSHIP IN THE ANOKA JOINT LAW ENFORCEMENT COUNCIL WHEREAS, The Anoka County Joint Law Enforcement Council has the authority to jointly and cooperatively exercise a power common to all contracting parties in order to insure that a proper regional organization of various municipalities have the authority and responsibility to research and study problems of Law Enforcement of a regional nature, together with tl:e authority and-power to implement such regional services, and WHEREAS, The Anoka County Joint Law Enforcement Council has implemented several regional services and these regional services are functioning for and within the City of Lino Lakes, and WHEREAS, The by -laws for the Ahoka County Joint Law Enforcement Council established criteria for communities to have representation on this Council, and WHEREAS, The City of Lino Lakes, County of Anoka, State of Minnesota now meets that criteria as set forth in the by -lays of the Anoka County Joint Law Enforcement, NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LINO LAKES, MINNESOTA: 1. It is requested that the governing members from the cities of Anoka, Blaine, Coon Rapids, Columbia Heights, Fridley, Spring Lake Park, and Anoka County Commissioners of the Anoka County Joint Law Enforcement Council convene, as soon as possible, for the purpose of admitting the City of Lino Lakes to full membership in the Anoka County Joint Law Enforcement Council.
