RESOLUTION No. 82 -20
WHEREAS, the City Council of Lino Lakes recognizes a concern for
the safety of the Children walking from Lino Elementary School along
the right -of -ways of County Road 14 and County Road 23, and
WHEREAS, maintenance and upgrading of said roads is under the
jurisdiction of Anoka County Board of Commissioners, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of Lino Lakes desires to work jointly
with Independent School District 831 in requesting the following
improvements,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Lino Lakes requests
the following improvements be considered by the Anoka County Board
of Commissioners:
1) Extension of reduced speed limit on County Road 14 beginning
in front of the school as it is presently East to James Street.
Also Reduced Speed limit on County Road 23 from James Street
North to 81st Avenue.
2) Installation of a semiphore at the intersection of County
Road 14 and County Road 23 concurrent with construction at
that intersection.
3) Improvement of shoulders along County Road 14 from the
intersection East to James Street.
4) Warning signs in the areas the children are walking.
