Council Member Rafferty introduced the following resolution and moved its
adoption:
CITY OF LINO LAKES
COUNTY OF ANOKA
RESOLUTION NO. 12 -06
APPROVING TOBACCO LICENSE FOR
CHOMONIX GOLF COURSE
WHEREAS, the City has received an application from Anoka County for a
Tobacco License to allow the sale of cigars at Chomonix Golf Course; and
WHEREAS, Anoka County has paid the required fee, and
WHEREAS, city staff has reviewed the application and verified that licensing
requirements are met; and
WHEREAS, the Lino Lakes Police Department has completed the required
background investigations;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LINO LAKES, MINNESOTA:
That the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes hereby approves a tobacco license
for Chomonix Golf Course at 700 Aqua Lane, subject to all the fees, provisions and
conditions of the laws of the city, state and of the federal government.

Membei Donned upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor

Authorizing New Tobacco License for
Chomonix Golf Course (Anoka County),
700 Aqua Lane
VOTE REQUIRED: Simple Majority
INTRODUCTION
Chomonix Golf Course is located within the City and is owned and operated by Anoka
County Parks and Recreation Division. The course facilities include a restaurant in the
club house and offers strong beer and wine sales throughout the premise.
BACKGROUND
An application has been submitted by Cori Hinz, Golf and Aquatics Manager for Anoka
County, for a tobacco license at Chomonix Golf Course They are requesting the license
for the purpose of selling cigars at the course and have indicated that they will be selling
no other tobacco products other than the cigars.
The applicant has undergone a background investigation for the liquor license that
indicated no problems or any reason to deny the application.
In accordance with the City Code Section 602, Regulating the Sale, Possession and use of
Tobacco Products and Tobacco Related Devices, this business requires a Tobacco
License from the City of Lino Lakes to engage in sales of any tobacco products, and this
business qualifies for such Tobacco License.
The applicant is fully aware that license approval is subject to all the provisions and
conditions of the laws of the city, state and of the federal government.
RECOMMENDATION
Approve the application for a tobacco license for Chomonix Golf Course
