RESOLUTION NO. 12-81
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING QUOTES AND AWARDING A STRIPING CONTRACT,
2012 SEAL COAT PROJECT
WHEREAS, pursuant to a request for quotes for the seal coating of trails, quotes were received,
and the following quotes were received complying with the request

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by The City Council of The City of Lino Lakes,
Minnesota:
1. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with
• Century Fence Company, in the name of the City of Lino Lakes for the Striping of the 2012
Seal Coat Project.
Adoption by the Lino Lakes City Council this 13th day of August, 2012
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was introduced by Council Member
Rafferty and was duly seconded by Council Member 0' Donnell and
upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:

Contract, 2012 Seal Coat Project

BACKGROUND
As part of the seal coating project that was recently completed it is now necessary to replace the
striping on several streets. These streets include Apollo Drive, Elm Street, and Lilac Street. The
cost for striping these streets is included in this year's budget and is part of the total cost that was
presented to the City Council on May 14, 2012 when the Council voted to authorize the
advertisement of bids for this project. A comparison of actual costs to the original estimated costs
presented to the City Council is shown below:

Several contractors were contacted to provide quotes for this project. The City received two quotes
and the results are presented below. Copies of the each quote are attached for your information.
