CITY OF LINO LAKES
RESOLUTION NO. 12 -97
APPROVING A SPECIAL EVENT PERMIT FOR BENEFIT AT
AMERICAN LEGION POST 566
WHEREAS, Pam Remme is working with organizers at American Legion Post
566 in Lino Lakes in planning a benefit for Ava Berreau; and
WHEREAS, the benefit would be held on September 15, 2012, from 1:00 to 6:00
p.m. and will include food and music; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Remme has submitted an application for a special event and
cabaret permit that establishes plans for the benefit; and
WHEREAS, city staff has reviewed the event plans and have determined that
they meet the requirements of the city's ordinances;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by The City Council of The City of Lino
Lakes, Minnesota:
That the City Council hereby authorizes the issuance of a Special Event and Cabaret
Permit to Pam Remme to hold the Ava Berreau Benefit on September 15, 2012.
Adopted by the Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 10th day of September, 2012.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was introduced by Council
Member
Roeser and was duly seconded by Council Member Stoesz and upon
vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:
Roeser, Stoesz, Rafferty, O'Donnell, Reinert

Consider Resolution No. 12 -97, Authorizing
the issuance of a Special Event and Cabaret
Permit for benefit at American Legion Post 566

Pam Remme, Chair of the Ava Berreau Benefit committee, has scheduled a special event
to raise funds on Saturday, September 15, 2012 at American Legion Post 566 from 1:00
until 6:00 p.m. The event plans include food prepared in the American Legion, a silent
auction, a bake sale and live music on the grounds outside of the Legion.
BACKGROUND
Ms. Remme has submitted to the City an application for a special event and a cabaret
permit. Staff and members of the American Legion will be working with the benefit
group to ensure all necessary elements for a safe event are covered. The application has
been reviewed by staff, including the police and fire departments, and the plans have
been found to comply with city ordinance.
RECOMMENDATION
Approve Resolution No. 12 -97, Authorizing issuance of a Special Event and Cabaret
Permit for the Ava Berreau Benefit on September 15, 2012.
