CITY OF LINO LAKES
RESOLUTION NO. 12 -110
AUTHORIZING A TEMPORARY LIQUOR LICENSE FOR A SPECIAL
EVENT AT THE LINO LAKES YMCA ON NOVEMBER 15, 2012
WHEREAS, the Executive Director of the Chain of Lakes YMCA has submitted an
application for a 1 to 4 day temporary liquor license in conjunction with an event planned at
the YMCA facility on November 15, 2012; and
WHEREAS, the event planned is a fundraiser that includes a wine tasting; and
WHEREAS, the serving of alcoholic beverages will be done so that no underage alcohol
service will occur; and
WHEREAS, proof of liquor liability insurance has been submitted; and
WHEREAS, the Alcohol & Gambling Enforcement Division requires that this type of
temporary liquor application be approved by the City of Lino Lakes City Council before
submission to the Liquor Control Board
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes
that the City Council grants local approval for a 1 -4 day temporary liquor license to the Lino
Lakes YMCA for a special event on November 15, 2012.
Adopted by the Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 13th day of November, 2012.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was introduced by Council Member
Roeser and was duly seconded by Council Member Raf ferty and upon vote
being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:
Roeser, Rafferty, O'Donnell, Stoesz, Reinert

Consider Approval of Resolution No. 12 -110, Application
for Temporary On -Sale Liquor License for Lino Lakes

The Lino Lakes YMCA is planning a fundraising event to be held on Thursday evening,
November 15, 2012 at the YMCA facility at 7960 Village Drive. The event planned is a wine
tasting that will be sponsored by Lakes Liquor of Lino Lakes.
BACKGROUND
Since wine will be served at this fundraiser, it is necessary for the YMCA to obtain a Temporary
. 1 -4 Day Intoxicating Liquor License Permit. Staff has determined that the Lino Lakes YMCA is
eligible for a temporary license under city and state regulations.
A copy of the applications and a copy of the certificate of liquor liability insurance are on file in
the city clerk's office.
RECOMMENDATION
Approve Resolution No. 12 -110, approving a 1 to 4 day Temporary On -Sale Liquor License.
