HomeMy WebLinkAbout2007-062 Council Resolution• • Council Member Stoltz introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: CITY OF LINO LAKES, MINNESOTA RESOLUTION NO. 07 -62 SUPPORTING ANOKA COUNTY FEDERAL FUNDING APPLICATION FOR IMPROVEMENTS TO CSAH 23 /CSAH 14 INTERSECTION WHEREAS, Lake Drive in the City of Lino Lakes, Minnesota is Anoka County State Aid Highway 23 (CSAH 23), a route on the National Highway System (NHS) and is designated as an A Minor Arterial; and WHEREAS, Main Street in the City of Lino Lakes, Minnesota is Anoka County State Aid Highway 14 and is designated as a Principal Arterial; and WHEREAS, the intersection of CSAH 14 and CSAH 23 is currently experiencing growing congestion and safety problems; and WHEREAS, Anoka County is proposing to reconstruct the intersection to include turn lanes and signalization. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the City of Lino Lakes endorses Anoka County's application for Federal Transportation Funds and fully supports the construction of said project. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, the City of Lino Lakes, in cooperation with Anoka County, is committed to procuring local (non - federal funds) match funds of a least 20 percent of the construction costs required as part of the Federal Transportation Grant program. ne Bartell ' ity Cler Adopted by the Lino Lakes City Council this 23rd day of April 2007.
